Dhiyoadhee brand was established by Cosmerc Maldives in collaboration with its skincare experts in late 2020 after almost 5 years in development. The name Dhiyoadhee was derived from the Dhivehi word "Dhiyoa' meaning Goddess and 'Dhee' which means like in Addu referring to the beauty of the Maldivian women and men in the making over decades of hidden skincare secrets. The line offers body and hair oils, scrubs / polishes, bathing sets and aromatherapy based products which allow you a holistic approach to well being and nurturing on your journey to a better skincare regime. With the growing competition in the skincare industry and the ever growing wellness industry, Dhiyoadhee team situated themselves as an authentic natural skincare line which was derived from the beauty practices used by their ancestors for decades on end.
During the long process of development, they have gone through several islands learning about the different flowers, herbs and ingredients used to create medication and beauty products. The idea of holistically healing came to light during these journeys of interviews with the elder Dhivehi Beys chemists of those islands.
